Social Clubs Are Going Virtual—Here’s How to Get in on the Fun

Over the past four years, we’ve seen a boom in social clubs and coworking spaces—places where you can meet new people, listen to interesting lectures, and be productive outside of your home—but admittedly, this period of isolation changes things. So, to make indoor life a bit more exciting—and inspiring and comforting—a few members-only organizations are opening their virtual doors to the public with a slate of online-only activities anyone can sign up for. Just because you’re social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t reap the benefits of a digital community. Here’s how you can get in on the action.

While the branches of this women’s club are temporarily shut down, everyone (including non-members) can enjoy some of its live digital programming, including a virtual cooking session with chef Alison Roman and a Q&A for working parents.

This Brooklyn social and wellness club designed with people of color in mind has launched a $17/month digital membership, which grants access to three daily live workshops and classes, which can range from mindfulness meditations to talks about becoming a better negotiator.

Part co-working space, part fitness boutique, this Bay Area wellbeing club believes that movement is an important part of every day—a lesson that’s even more important to remember when you’re likely not walking as much as you normally do. The Assembly is offering an expansive schedule of online offerings, from free workshops on astrology and self-massage, to $10 fitness classes. You might miss your gym buddy, but you can still get your heartbeat up in the comfort and safety of your own home.
